Kristina graduated from the University of Plovdiv with a Bachelor's degree "Preschool and Primary School Education" and Master's degree "English language and methodology". She has been a Primary teacher for more than 8 years, teaching in international kindergartens and international schools, taking different responsibilities and middle management positions. Kristina adores children and she is really passionate when it comes to teaching. She believes in the
individuality of the children and tries her best to teach, using innovative, engaging, fun and student-centered approach. She thinks that teaching is not only work, but taking care of the children, tracking their progress and helping with everything they need.
Kristina will be the Head of Stage Preparatory Groups and the first point of contact for any pastoral or academic concerns.

Tsvety starts her 19th school year at St. George School and Preschool. She is a Sofia University graduate in Primary Pedagogy and English Language. Apart from her university education, Tsvety has completed the ICAL, Atlanta Course in Accelerated Learning and a course in Inductive
Learning and is currently working towards completing a master’s degree in English Linguistics. Tsvety has numerous publications in the field of natural science for primary school as well as in the field of learning foreign languages and integrated learning. She is a co-author of textbooks for teaching English in Preschool.
Tsvety is devoted to teaching and working with children. Her passion in teaching is in the fields of Science and English. She applies various modern and innovative teaching methods in her work and believes that the children learn best when they are given the chance to experiment,
the inspiration to explore and the enthusiasm to always be ready to discover something new. Tsvety has been awarded with Neofit Rilski certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science.

A former freelance writer, Matthew has always had a passion for teaching and learning and changed his career path ten years ago to reflect this. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in Social Policy and, later, graduated from Roehampton University with masters credits in his PGCE. Matthew has been a teacher of Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 for nine years in the UK, Malaysia and China, carrying out a number of roles and leadership responsibilities. He is passionate about educating children in a holistic manner, with a strong belief in both academic and pastoral care. Matthew is entering his first year living in Bulgaria, and enjoys both writing and running in his spare time. Matthew is the Head of Stage 2 (Grades 3 and 4) and should be your first point of contact for pastoral or academic concerns.
Head of Foreign Languages Department and Foreign Language teacher
Anne-Laure is a native French teacher qualified from the University of Grenoble. She has been teaching in Australia and in Egypt for the past eight years to people of all ages in several schools and institutions and has been leading the Modern Foreign Languages department for two years in her current school. Anne-Laure is passionate about languages and believes in the potential of every individual, therefore demonstrating a true commitment to ensuring the optimum outcome for every student. After four years spent in Egypt, Anne-Laure is looking forward to discovering Bulgaria, its culture and beautiful landscapes.
Head of Music and Performing Arts Department and Music teacher
Nevena Petrova graduated from St. Kliment Ohridski University, specializing in pedagogy of musical education. Her teaching experience started 12 years ago as a vocal technique teacher and in 2012 she joined the team of St. George International School, where she teaches music and vocal technique until now. The colorful world that students draw with their imagination during the process of exploring the vast world of music is what inspires Nevena to teach music. She enjoys and feels proud with the process of growing up of each student. Before becoming a teacher, Nevena took part in many ensembles as a professional singer, enjoying travelling all over the world with them. Today she combines teaching with singing in to one of the best choirs in Bulgaria – Vanya Moneva’s Choir.
Head of Art and Technology Department and Art teacher
Tsvetelina is a Sofia University graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy of Art Teaching and is currently finishing her Master’s course in Career Development and Entrepreneurship at South West University, Blagoevgrad. She has been an art and technology teacher for four years. Tsvety is passionate about art, especially painting. She believes that all students can learn to express themselves through visual language and encourages them to find their interests and style. Tsvety enjoys all forms of performance and visual art.
Bulgarian Language and Literature Coordinator
Tsvetelina is a primary teacher with a professional experience of more than 15 years, 11 of which she has been teaching at St. George International School & Preschool. Tsvety is a Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Primary pedagogy and Spanish and she is about to complete a Master's degree in Educational Technology. Tsvety likes to write poems and to explore new challenges, improving herself and her way of teaching. She is a devoted pedagogue, who enjoys teaching and applying innovative teaching techniques and methods. She loves her pupils and is able to spend as much time as needed in building their positive attitude, excellent achievement and communication skills.
Sara studied for her BA (Hons) in Primary Education from Manchester Metropolitan University. Since then, Sara moved back to her home city of Leeds to teach across Upper Key Stage 2. For the past four years, she has taught in Beijing, China, leading Extra curricular activities in her time there, as well as being a teacher of both Year 3 and Year 5. She played a fundamental role in developing the mathematics curriculum and stretching high ability students during her time there. Educating the whole child is a core value that Sara holds; she believes in the importance of academic learning going hand in hand with the development of personal and social skills. Sara enjoys keeping fit and running and has coached a number of sports, including football and netball. Sara is entering her first year living in Bulgaria and is looking forward to bringing her energy and passion for sport into her teaching role.
Monika graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Master's degree in Child Psychology and Master's degree in Preschool Education. She has been a child psychologist for two years. Monika wants to keep on building her professional qualification with Primary School Education. She started her career in St. George International School and Preschool last year. Monika has led dance classes for 5 years and really loves working with kids from all ages - from 5 years olds to adolescents.
Plamena Ivanova received a Bachelor’s degree in “Preschool and primary school pedagogy“ from University of Sofia "St. Kliment Ohridski". She graduated with honors.
Plamena has been a teacher for five years and is passionate about finding how her pupils learn and use a variety of methods to meet their specific and individual needs, because she is convinced that every pupil deserves education tailored to their strengths. Plamena is caring, consistent, prepared and motivating. She creates lessons that reach each learner based on ability and interests, capture their attention, make them want to learn as well as find ways to make those lessons intertwine with pupils own lives and experience. Plamena believes that you need to love what you teach, be committed and enthusiastic about it and genuinely share those feelings.
Denitsa graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" with Bachelor degree in Pre-school and Primary School Education. She has four years experience working as a teacher. This year it will be her second at St. George International School and Preschool. Working with children is what makes her happy and satisfied. She strives to improve herself and giving her best to the students. Reading classical literature and traveling are the favourite activities for Denitsa during her holidays.
Petya has 11 years of experience as a teacher, all of them as a member of St. George International School & Preschool. Mrs. Ilieva has a bachelor’s degree from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski“ in Primary school education with English. She also has a master’s degree in Preschool pedagogy in the same university. Her main goal at work is to make the children feel calm and happy at school and ease the transition period to the new school environment. Her patience and positive attitude in communication and cooperation with children are a good prerequisite for building positive relationships between them. She tries to inspire and encourage her students every day and make every lesson a unique experience for them.
Zhorz graduated from the University of Sofia with a Bachelor’s degree in Primary teaching, followed by a Master’s degree in Early foreign language teaching. He has been a primary teacher for three years in Bulgaria. In the past year Zhorzh taught Science and Mathematics and he found them inspiring. In his work he uses different types of games and fun activities, and that helps his students to comprehend the important information of the subject without any difficulties. He enjoys his work in St. George International School & Preschool a lot and he is looking forward to face new challenges in Primary teaching.
Sonja comes to St. George International School and Preschool from the International School of Olomouc in the Czech Republic where she was a Y3 class teacher.
She has a B.A. degree in English Philology, holds Qualified Teacher Status from the UK and is about to receive a MEd degree in Primary teaching from the University of Sofia. This is her sixth consecutive year teaching in Primary and it will be the second year teaching at St. George School & Preschool. She enjoys the classroom environment, exploring different subjects and shaping the minds of the future leaders. In her free time, Sonja enjoys spending her time with friends and family, going for walks and traveling.
Petya is a teacher with more than 9 years of professional experience and for the fifth consecutive year she will teach at St. George International School & Preschool as a primary teacher. Petya has earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool and Primary Pedagogy from the SWU “Paisii Hilendarski”. The most important things in her work are providing safe and inspiring environment for the children, the trust of the parents and the pursuit of self-improvement and innovative teaching.
Stella graduated from the University of Sofia with a MD in French and English philology, followed by a MD in Early childhood and Primary Education. She has been a teacher of Preparatory groups for fourteen years and a Science and Math teacher of third and fourth graders for two years in St. George International School and Preschool, occupying a variety of teaching and management positions. Stella is passionate about education and thinks children should develop their natural curiosity, ecological culture of future citizens, as well as their spirit of discovery and love for learning. Stella enjoys reading, skiing and dancing.
Yordanka is an experienced qualified primary teacher working at St. George International School and Preschool for twelve years. Yordanka has graduated the “St. Cyril and Methodius” Institute for Primary Teachers as well as the SWU“Neofit Rilski”. She strives to create an interesting and stimulating environment for her pupils which she uses to encourage the pupils’ motivation and interest in exploring the world. Yordanka believes in the equal chances of all pupils and puts effort in supporting them to fulfill their potential and achieve high academic results
Greta is a primary teacher with professional experience of over twenty-five years, ten of which she has been teaching at St. George International School & Preschool. She has received a Master’s degree in Pedagogy and a second major in Social Pedagogy from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She loves the dynamics of her profession and the contact with the children. Her personal belief is that education is the professional area where she can have the greatest impact on countless lives.
Primary Teacher and English Language Teacher
Katie graduated from Loughborough University with a Bsc with honours in Social Psychology, followed by working for three years in London. She then completed a PGCE and taught in the UK as a primary school teacher for eleven years. Katie has always enjoyed working with children and believes that all children should learn in a variety of engaging and interactive ways. Katie has just completed her first year working and living abroad in Bulgaria and is pleased that she has made the move.
Primary Teacher and P.E. teacher
Zornitsa is graduated from the National Sports Academy, where specialized Physical education, Pedagogy and Skiing. She has experience in a sport center and ski school in Sofia, working with young talents . Zornitsa is passionate in finding children’s talents, and developing them. She believes that sport and physical exercises could improve children overall performance, while having fun and a good time during classes. Zornitsa perceives children as individuals and strive to work with them according their own needs. She loves travelling especially with her family and spend time in her flower garden.
Primary Teacher and Art teacher
Eli graduated from the National Art School "St. Luke" and New Bulgarian University with a Bachelor's degree in Theater and Scenography. She is currently graduating SWU ‘’Neofit Rilski” as major in “Fine Arts Pedagogy”. Eli is an artist in the field of abstract painting who has realized four solo exhibitions. When she works and teaches children and sees how inspired they are by art, she feels deeply motivated and happy. Her positive and spontaneous attitude helps the children embrace the world of science and mathematics through art.

Victoria Nikolova graduated with a Master's degree from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ". She has been a teacher of music, piano, vocal technique and choral conductor for 15 years. Victoria is in love with music and believes that music education gives children the opportunity to develop each child's musical potential, self-expression and personal development. She is inspired by her music students and is proud of them. Victoria likes to sing and play, and to improve her skills.
Primary Teacher and English language teacher
Nicola graduated from The University of Ulster, Magee with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology followed by a PGCE from St Mary’s University, Twickenham. She has taught in London for the past three years. Prior to this, she has taught at home in Northern Ireland as well as in France. Nicola loves teaching and ensures that learning is fun and engaging for the children. She believes in the importance of children reflecting on their learning so they can learn from their mistakes. Nicola is excited to relocate to Sofia and enjoy the Bulgarian lifestyle especially the food.
Bori graduated with a Master's degree in Teaching Language and Literature from the University of Pécs in Hungary. After getting her diploma she moved to Dublin, Ireland where she worked as a youth worker. She spent 3 years there, then moved to Spain to start her teaching career. She taught English to all ages and levels. She specialised in Cambridge exam preparation and also became a Cambridge examiner. She is a person who always looks for new opportunities to grow personally and professionally. She loves African and Afro-Latin music and plays percussion instruments. She will share this knowledge with kids who will come to the percussion club this year. She also loves nature and hiking.
Greg graduated with a Master’s Degree in Teaching English Language and Literature from the University of Pécs. During his studies he spent an year in rural Ireland which he liked so much that he decided to return to the Emerald Isle right after graduating. He spent a couple of years there before moving to Spain, where he started his teaching career. After spending two years in northern Spain he moved to Mexico and back to Spain, this time to Andalusia. Greg taught English on a wide range of levels and ages and became an Oral Examiner at Cambridge Assessment.
Greg is very active in his freetime. His hobbies include trail running, mountaineering, hiking, and spending time in nature in general. He also loves reading and playing chess.
Rosalia graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular biology. Her teaching career started with Zaedno v chas, part of the global educational network Teach for All, where she became a qualified teacher of English language. Rosalia has an experience in both public and private institutions as well as with different age groups and levels. Rosalia believes that every child has a talent and a certain potential that wait to be discovered and developed. She is passionate about nature, arts and languages which she integrates successfully in her teaching practice.
Snezhina graduated from the National Academy of Arts- Sofia with a Bachelor’s degree ‘’Design of Children’s Environment’’ and Master’s degree ‘’Interior and Exterior Design’’. Snezhina has been working with children for more than seven years and she enjoys surprising children with new art techniques that can capture their attention. She strongly believes that every child could be an artist and has a creative potential that can be expressed and developed. She is also convinced that art is one of the best methods for studying and gives knowledge about different aspects of life. Some of her hobbies are photography, architecture, cultures, cooking and travelling.
Gergana graduated her bachelor’s degree as a programmer with “Computer science” at UniLSIT. Computers and technologies have been her passion since childhood, and when she was 10 she learned how to code in HTML out of curiosity. After a series of internships at key locations, one of which is BAS, she is currently in the process of acquiring her postgraduate qualification as an IT educator and is convinced she can provide students with the perfect balance between learning the theory and the fun of practice with computers. Today, when one click takes you to another part of the world, and when you can’t even function properly without some kind of technology around, it is increasingly important for students to develop their skills in Information technologies with the help of young, enthusiastic and fervent people, such as Gergana.
Foreign Language Teacher
Ms. Geri Kosturska is a french teacher who has a bachelor degree of applied linguistics '' English and French'' and a master degree from University Lumière Lyon 2, Lyon, France.
She has one of the highest language certificates of French from the French Alliance in Paris, France . For Ms Geri, french language is not only her favourite foreign language, it is a passion. Geri is a very positive person with different artistic hobbies. Miss Geri considers french as the international language of fashion, cooking, visual arts and that is why she believes it is important to study French.
Foreign Language Teacher
Natalia graduated from Tomsk State University with a Master’s Degree in Russian Language for Foreigners, recently she was awarded a PhD in Russian Philology. She has 5 years’ experience of teaching Russian language as a foreign language at Russian and Bulgarian universities. Last year Natalia joined the teaching staff at St. George International School & Preschool. Natalia is a pedagogue who is extremely devoted to her job and she does her best to make her lessons not only useful but also entertaining; the atmosphere of her lessons is always pleasant and friendly. These factors facilitate high academic results and keep her students highly motivated to study the language during the whole period of their school education. She is very popular among the students. Natalia is a teacher who persistently tries to look at the process of education from the student’s perspective. Since Natalia demonstrates her commitment to constant self-development and self-education she is a frequent visitor of education seminars and scientific conferences.
Аnton graduated from The National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" in Sofia with a Bachelor's degree in football and PE, followed by a Master's degree in Sports Management. He has over 9 years of experience in teaching Physical Education and Theory and Methods of Sports Trending with students in primary and secondary schools. In addition, he has been coaching football for more than 11 years in Bulgaria and USA. For Anton sport is not just a necessity but also pleasure and a way of living. He believes it is really important for children to be brought up loving sport, as it teaches them discipline, teamwork and keeps them healthy. Anton likes working with children and helping them work hard towards their goals. He finds the “St. George School” a place which gives more opportunities for students and teachers.
Tatyana is a primary and secondary teacher in physical education. Before her professional teaching career, she was a professional basketball player in division A. As a player she received several awards in national championships and has accumulated 12 years of teaching experience and has won many awards for quality physical education teaching. Tatyana believes that anyone can achieve, provided they try.
Daniela is a Bourgas University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” graduate with Bulgarian philology. Ever since the beginning of university she has been determined that she will work as a teacher and she started her career soon after. Daniela loves the dynamics of the school atmosphere and she is very happy for the opportunity to teach Bulgarian language and all kinds of literature, so that she can introduce this subject to the pupils not only in order as a obligatory subject in school, but showing them the beauty of it and how engaging and fun can be.
Daniela speaks three languages and loves exploring new things and meeting new people, that’s why she choose teaching as life profession, because only a child can surprise you by growing in a different person with every new day.
Mariana graduates Sofia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and a Master’s Degree in Philosophy taught in English. She also holds a pedagogical qualification in Primary Teaching. She has been a teacher for three years, teaching Psychology and Philosophy in a public school and English language in a private school. She spent her last academic year at St. George International School & Preschool. Mariana believes that to be a teacher is a mission and she does her best to inspire her students to have a passion about learning, to be creative, proactive and successful. Mariana likes exploring different teaching approaches and she enjoys being in the classroom most of all. Mariana likes reading and travelling.
Takui Agop Shirinyan has a bachelor's degree in Primary School Pedagogy with a foreign language (English) from the Faculty of Primary and Preschool Pedagogy at the Sofia University. Miss Taki has been a primary teacher for over three years. This is her first year at St. George International School and Preschool as an assistant teacher. In her free time Miss Taki enjoys long walks, listening to music, car driving and motorbike riding.
