SECOND PLACE FOR OUR TEAM AT THE U16 EUROPEAN PUBLIC DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Last Friday four of our students traveled to Bucharest to take park in the U16 European Public Debate Championship. They comfortably won their prepared debate, successfully arguing the opposition potion for the motion 'that this house believes that freedom of speech should include the right to offend', and then went on to qualify for the finals during their impromptu debates. A split judges decision during a very close final saw our team claim second place on points.
Congratulations to all involves and thank you to our parent helpers!
