The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
Today at an official meeting with 8th to 12th graders in St. George International School and Preschool there was a special guest – Iva Krastanova, the national coordinator of the program “The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award” for Bulgaria.
Nicole Johnson, Co-curricular Coordinator, will lead the program on our behalf. The students, together with Miss Sahar Nahib, who is a secondary science teacher, will participate in special STEM projects to support their input in the “The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award" program.
During the meeting, Alexander Dachev, an 11th grade student, presented to his classmates the charity initiative he will undertake to raise awareness about breast cancer as part of his portfolio for “The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award” program. He invited his peers to join him in the project implementation.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for all the students who will roll up their sleeves and get involved in the exciting projects! We believe that this will be more than a successful step for them both academically and professionally.
The best is yet to come.
