MUSIC THEORY AND SOLFEGGIO (photo) Music teachers at St. George International School & Preschool Music theory and solfeggio are an integral part of the growth of each musician. They help understand the logic and consistency behind each tune and song, and are mandatory for mastering any musical instrument or song. Music theory studies include the construction of chords, intervals, octave groups mode, tonality, rhythm and sizes. Part of the study of musical theory comprises guessing the intervals, chords and modes, tones by ear and musical dictation. Solfeggio develops not only the music abilities, but the correct intonation when singing. If your child has higher goals in music, these lessons are mandatory. VOCAL TECHNIQUE (photo) Music teachers at St. George International School & Preschool While learning songs, students learn to develop concentration and to strengthen their will. Vocal education plays an important role in the development of speech in children and gives them the confidence to express and assert themselves. In vocal technique lessons, the children not only learn songs, they will also develop control over their vocal physiology through a number of exercises alongside learning the theory and aspects of rhythmic and melodic flair, artistry, imagination and good performance behavior. BALLET Ballet school Vaya Dance Studio Founded in 2005, the Studio provides classical ballet training for children aged from 4 to 18 years. The children become acquainted with classical dance through the principles of the Russian School of Agripina Vaganova. The programme is adapted and designed in accordance with the age of the children, their previous experience and has reduced number of lessons in comparison to professional ballet schools. Being an art, so different from the real life, the ballet helps balancing the emotional and mental state of the children.
